What We Believe
About the Bible == The Bible is God's revealed word to His people, written by men who were divinely inspired by God's Holy Spirit. It is completely true, with no error. It reveals the standard by which God judges sin and the principles by which we can live an abundant life.
About God == We believe that there is one and only one," Living and True God".He is the Creator and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth. In unity of the God-head there are three persons. The Father,The Son and The Holy Spirit, equal in every aspect, working uniquely to bring about man's redemption.
About Salvation == We are saved entirely by God's grace. We are not and cannot be saved by our own good works. It was the death of Jesus Christ on the cross that made possible our redemption. His death made full atonement for our sin. When we accept this great, free gift of God, by faith, we then enter into a personal relationship with Him.
About the Church == It is a congregation of baptized believers, brought together by their like-minded faith, ordinances of Christ and exercising the gifts God has given them. We believe that in and through the local church God will continue to advance His kingdom, perform wonders and miraculous signs, and fulfill the Great Commission as we live and minister in obedience to the Great Commandment (Jesus teaches us to go and make disciples and commands us to love the Lord with all our heart and to love our neighbor as we love ourselves).
About Baptism and the Lord's Supper == Christian baptism is the immersion of the believer in water, in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. This act symbolizes outwardly, the change in that person's life that has already taken place internally. Baptism is a prerequisite for church membership.
The Lord's Supper is a special remembrance by believers of the sacrifices that Jesus made for us. The bread and juice are symbolic of the body and blood of Jesus Christ. The Lord's Supper is always preceded by a self-examination of our worthiness to participate in such a solemn occasion.
About Judgment == (Heaven and Hell)-- We believe that every person has an eternal destiny. That destiny is determined by whether or not they believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We believe that all believers will spend eternity with their loving Creator in a place void of sorrow, pain or difficulty. Those who choose not to receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior will face a day of judgment and will spend eternity separated from God and will be condemned to spend eternity in hell ,devoid of anything that is good, a place of endless suffering.
About Religious Freedom == We believe that every human being has a direct relation with God, and is responsible to God alone in the matters of faith. We also believe that each church is independent and must be free from interference by any ecclesiastical or political authority. Therefore Church and State must be kept separate as having different functions, each fulfilling its duties free from dictation or patronage of the other.
We believe that a Christian should live for the glory of God.==We believe that empowered followers of Jesus Christ should continually seek to glorify God in all they do, bearing witness of his His presence in their lives. To do so we believe it is imperative that the followers of Jesus embrace these characteristics of a vital faith:
REGULAR participation in worship and corporate prayer.
DAILY devotion and personal prayer.
PERSONAL growth through Bible study and group learning activities.
OBEDIENCE to Christ and the Scriptures in personal behavior.
COMMITMENT to others in the Body of Christ through caring for one another.
STEWARDSHIP of God's blessings, sacrificially and generously, giving of our time, talents and treasures.
SHARING of God's love in mission and service to others outside of the church.
